we found my dog, for all of u who new she was lost. Michie (pro. mishee), our pure-bred border collie, my sister and roomate, was found at about 3:00 p.m., 2/23/07 in our neighbors pool. she drowned last night and regretably died of hypothermia.

She now resides in our backyard, in a homemade grave that the whole family contributed to making. She's in a better place now, and i hope she's happy. It'll feel lonely without her sleeping by my side at night.


For all of you who knew Michie, u knew that she was truly part of the family. She never hurt anyone, and although she would occasionally cause a mess, she always rewarded you with a smile and a wag of her tail. She loved to chase the sticks we'd throw around in the backyard, and chased the cats around as well. I'd always tell her, 'come on Mich lets go to bed' and she'd always pad in there with a grin and lay down in the center of my bed. Then i'd always wake up with her snuggled up close to me, usually cold-nosing the side of my face. She was like my personal dream catcher, always chasing the nightmares away. I always told everyone that, 'oh dreams are just dreams.' or, 'i can get back up when i fall no problem.' Guess who was actually there to comfort me and make me strong?

As in most cases, her spirit shall float around for about 3 days. She wont be lonely, for the family will watch over her grave for the rest of our lives.
